Our software maintenance includes the following services:

These services are only available if you have valid software maintenance.


Additionally, NetJapan partners (Resellers and MSPs) receive:

Software maintenance does not include cross/upgrading to another edition, nor to any new software developed by NetJapan or its strategic partners.

Licencing models

Description
Outright (perpetual) Licences
MSP licences
Duration Licence does not expire. Flexible subscription periods. Following deactivation of a NetJapan MSP licence, it will no longer be able to be used.
Maintenance The software is initially purchased with between 1 and 5 years of maintenance which you have the option to renew. The software remains fully operational, independent of your maintenance status. Maintenance is included in the licence perpetually.
What happens when the maintenance expires You are offered to extend the maintenance contrat for 1, 2 or 3 years. Should you decide not to renew your maintenance, your licence will continue to run but you will not be entitled to the services and upgrades mentioned above. The maintenance never expires and is valid until deactivation of the MSP licence.
Ownership The end-user owns the licence of NetJapan's software. The end-user leases the service(s) from his/her IT Service Provider who is a NetJapan MSP Partner.
Infrastructure Changes Should your IT infrastructure change and you require a different version of NetJapan solutions (i.e. from Hyper-V to VMware), you will need to purchase a new licence. You can change your NetJapan solution as needed. Prices vary depending on the desired licence and your Service Provider’s implementation costs.

We strongly recommend that you keep your maintenance up to date as it guarantees you priority help from our Customer Care and Technical Support departments. While disasters cannot always be avoided, valid maintenance is the best way of ensuring you have access to the help you need when you need it most.
